The Power Of The Kolbe A™ Index For Teams.

The Instinctive Advantage utilizes the Kolbe A™ Index to help organizations find the right people for the right seats. This allows teams to scale through better communication, higher levels of productivity, and a deeper understanding of the key team members involved in its growth.

Why Teams Partner With Us & The Kolbe Assessment.

Skills can be taught and aspects of personality can change, but instincts are hardwired. Because Kolbe Wisdom™ is based on instincts, it’s a proven way for companies to determine the adequacy of potential candidates for specific jobs, create highly synergistic teams, and forecast potential team performance. Here’s why we value the Kolbe System, and why teams partner with us.

Building Team Synergy

The Kolbe A™ Index is a diagnostic method for determining your instincts for action. It highlights your unique capabilities and inherent capacity to solve challenges constructively. Teams grow more productive, integrated, and efficient by employing their Kolbe scores as a reference point. Effective teams accomplish more while having fewer difficulties in working with the team's strengths and weaknesses.

Healthy teams employ a shared understanding with one other, which is beyond merely comprehending the business's goals and management. When there is synergy in teams, its team members embrace and respect themselves and the team's strengths and weaknesses.

Creating, And Sustaining Culture

Cultivating an atmosphere of being accepted by your team is one of the most challenging responsibilities you will face as a leader. Your team has numerous unique personalities and distinct inherent characteristics, making it difficult for leaders to form a culture that scales.

Yet, a leader's most significant and vital function is to establish a harmonious work environment with individuals of various talents and performing styles, and to keep that environment as organizations change, adapt, and grow.

Through the Kolbe System, and our professional coaching, we help teams strategize, build and adapt as their teams (and roles) change. And ultimately, create team synergy.

The Instinctive Advantage has been a powerful resource for the Hamlin Building Center in our quest to help our people into the right seat. They’ve helped us establish the foundation for communicating within teams and across disciplines, and the Kolbe™ Index has been such a friction reducer for us as a whole. As you can see, working with The Instinctive Advantage has helped us move into a world where we not only operate in what we do best, but we enable those around us to do so as well.

The Difference Between Working Together and Winning Together.

Is your team “winning” together? Or simply working together? Working together requires everyone to do their part to get the job done. Winning together, on the other hand, means your team has learned how to work together and how to succeed. Working together tends to be the goal of most teams. We want everyone to get along and work together to get the job done. What most teams don’t take into account is just because people are working together doesn’t mean things are going well. Oftentimes there is a lack of ownership, a lack of respect for individual differences, and frustration runs rampant.

Frequently Asked Questions.

What are the four Kolbe categories?

There are 4 categories of results in the Kolbe A™ Index. They include Fact Finder, Follow Thru, Quickstart, and Implementer. With a score between 1-10 for each category, individuals will receive a breakdown of whether they are preventative (fight it), accommodating (deal with it), or initiating (thrive in it) within those categories.

What is a good Kolbe score?

There is no such thing as a good score. The assessment is designed to highlight how you instinctively take action, not to tell you that you’re doing something wrong. That said, in some cases individuals take the assessment and feel like their results should be different; but that doesn't mean they failed.

Is the Kolbe A™ Index the same as Myers Briggs?

While many assessments use similar verbiage to describe their focuses and outcomes, there are many distinct differences. For example, the Kolbe System is designed around instincts and your conative strengths while the Myers Briggs is designed as a personality test. Both serve different purposes, but may conclude similar results.
